10 Dec – New Moon Sagittarius
Including info on Mars Retrograde (15 Nov 2007 – 30 Jan 2008)
There’s a bit of a strange feeling in the air leading up to this new moon. On the one hand we have a New Moon in Sagittarius – sign of the great adventurer! We feel like we should want to immerse in all things festive and start planning for the new year ahead. On the other hand Mars, planet of drive, action, energy, motivation and assertiveness is retrograde (until Jan 30!!) so while half of us is wanting to go forward, the other half is hitting brick walls, feeling overly tired, and wondering why our get up and go feels like it got up and went somewhere!

Now, Mars Retrograde can be a good thing. He is asking us to look at the way we use our energy. So, if you are usually someone who rushes through life at 1000 miles an hour, this is a time to learn to slow down. If you usually procrastinate you might find yourself with more on your plate than ever – the universe is trying to kick start you into action so that you can let in all the abundance currently in a traffic queue outside your front door! If you are usually quite passive, Mars will be stirring your pot right now calling you to stand up for yourself. If you are one who likes to get your own way by shouting loudest, you’re in for a humility check as this retrograde shows you that other people have a right to their say too.

This New Moon is a good time to really look at how you use your Mars energy, and work out where you need to be more assertive and where you need to learn to take a step back or pipe down a little, where you need to be more action-oriented, and where you need to take time to stop and smell the roses.

11 Dec – Jupiter Conjunct Pluto 28 degrees Sagittarius
This is a once in 13 years event, with Jupiter the planet of abundance, good luck and expansion, connecting with Pluto, planet of transformation and rebirth! If you have a copy of your chart (you can create one free at http://www.astro.com/) take a look where 28 degrees Sagittarius falls in your chart. This is the area that is about to receive a potentially life-transforming, powerful shift! To add extra punch, 28 degrees Sagittarius happens to be right near our Galactic Core. Now Pluto won’t be near that again for about another 250 years, so you can be sure that whatever happens around this time is the universe’s way of completely aligning your path with who you really are at your deepest, core level. Big time transformation is the gift available here, so just open your arms wide and say “Thank you, I am open to this transformation!”

24 Dec – Full Moon Cancer/Jupiter-Sun Conjunction

What a beautiful energy to have on Christmas Eve (for those who celebrate). This strongly emotional full moon will be in her natural sign of warm, nurturing, home and family oriented Cancer. At the same time jovial Jupiter makes his annual connection with the Sun. This is the perfect day to spend with the person or people closest to you and let them know how much you love and appreciate them. If you are going through a hard time, today is a day to light a candle and say a prayer, perhaps remembering a loved one you have lost recently or giving thanks for what you do have in your life right now.

5th WSF World Spirit Forum 2008

I was honoured to receive an invitation from WSF President Sesto Giovanni Castagnoli and Gabriele Castagnoli asking me to attend the 5th WSF World Spirit Forum in January 2008, in Arosa, Switzerland. I'm not able to make it this time but am equally as honoured to contribute a written piece* to this exciting, inspiring event, and pass on the information below!

Sending many blessings to Arosa for much positive shifting and inspirational ideas!

5th WSF World Spirit Forum 2008

The 5th WSF World Spirit Forum will take place from January 20th to 23rd, 2008 in Arosa, Switzerland under the subject of “(X)change consciousness”.

The WSF is an international Forum, conducted in English, which provides inspiration, great networking possibilities, and revitalizes people of different origins for their private and professional life as well as for their other spheres of influence. The WSF World Spirit Forum 2008 will not be an ordinary congress. There will not be a succession of presentations, but open space for conversations and experiences, enhanced and supported by spiritual rituals. All attendees are contributors.

As the challenge of the Climate Change especially addresses the eternal human theme of Change, the initiators want to collaborate with all contributors on the answers to the following questions:

Does the Global Climate Change demand a Global Spirituality?
How to use Our Knowledge wisely?

INSPIRING and ACTIVE YOUTH at the WSF 2008

Like in the years before a special part of the WSF will be youth leaders and active youth from all over the world coming together at the WSF 2008.

At the WSF World Spirit Forum 2005 a gathering of about 15 youth leaders from around the world (mostly activists in the fields of interfaith, spirituality and ecology), established the WSYC World Spirit Youth Council at the WSF Forum. In 2006 25 of them met in Arosa. Meanwhile the WSYC has gone its own way: to conferences in Nepal, Japan and in February 2008 to Thailand. The goal for the WSF World Spirit Forum 2008 is to have youth from the different fields of politics, science, economics, culture, religion and society again meeting and building a long lasting, evolving group of international youths under the encouragement of the WSF.

For more information both about the WSF Forum 2008 and the “Inspiring and Active Youth” please contact Gabriele Castagnoli under communication@worldspiritforum.org or find detailed information directly on our homepage www.worldspiritforum.org/en .
